The Dumbest Weight Loss Products

There are all kinds of fat reduction products available these days. Some of these solutions really are designed to help you lose weight. There are plenty of other products, in contrast, that look thought up for no other purpose than making a bunch of money off of people who are feeling desperate. Some products are so outrageous that we thought we would highlight them here in this article so that you know not to fall for the promises they make.

Have you happened over the fat reduction ring yet? This is a thin piece of silver that coils about your index finger a few times. The band should put an excellent amount of pressure on the pressure points that people believe are supposed to help you lose weight. Science has established that there are a few pressure points in the human body that, when touched, really can be used to help you feel better. Seabands, to apply one example, should activate specific pressure points to help you control motion sickness. But the thought that a tiny ring may help you lose weight (actively, as a reminder it probably works just fine) is just absurd.

Have you discovered the neck line slimmer? Through the use of vibration, it is a solution that, supposedly, helps you firm up the muscles in your neck so that you won’t have any more unsightly loose or hanging skin. Any doctor worth his co-pay will tell you that when you’ve got a bunch of extra skin hanging from your face or your neck, the skin has already been stretched out and is unlikely, even if your neck muscles strengthen, to shrink back up into the firm skin of your youth. If you’re concerned about the skin on your neck, consult your doctor.

Have you previously found the Belly Burner Weight Loss Belt? This belt, seemingly, uses heat to help you literally melt off the pounds as you wear the belt itself. From what we can see, the belt is made to “heat the core” which, apparently, will make your weight fall off because of…what? We have yet to really figure that out. While we can let you know that working up a sweat can in fact help you burn some calories, there isn’t any guarantee that they can only be burned off in the same area that you are wearing the belt. Talking to your health care provider will be sufficient to confirm that this product is not meant to do anything at all besides get your hard earned money.

The honest truth is that there are many people who only want to take your money from you. They know that you feel vulnerable about your weight and that you are eager to lose it and they victimize that vulnerability and desperation. Lots of people wish to shed pounds but they don’t like the prospect of doing the work that they need to do to get them there. If this process were truly simple, there would be a lot fewer people getting taken advantage of. It can often be quite difficult to lose excess weight. There just isn’t any magic pill, accessory or piece of clothing that will do your work for you.
